circumnavigation

i have come to realize that i have a profound and deep love for maps and geography. so much so that i'd like to take a course on it. you can never know enough when it comes to the globe and it brings me so much joy to imagine and think about how each country is defined by its own set of characteristics and cultural traits and values. i don't think that my hunger for travel will ever be satisfied. there are endless nations to visit and too many languages to learn. i want to experience it all and i want to experience it now.

my heart hurts these days. but knowing that i'll be spending a lengthy six months on the continent of africa makes things a little better. i have much to look forward to and so much to live for.
