The lives that make up the numbers

I want to love each one. I want to see the value of each individual life. Jesus thank you for the value and love and worth that you place on every single life. i pray for even just an ounce of that love. i want your heart, your compassion, your mercy, your love, your desire to bring justice and restore value. i don't want to just hear stories or see numbers or pictures. i want to sit face to face with the broken, the poor. i want to be in the midst of the suffering, not just observe it from afar. i want to give love. love that never runs out because of the love that never ends for me. i want to wrap my arms around the malnourished child. i want to kiss the face of the grandmother who spends each day trying to care for that child. i want to find hope and grace in the most hopeless and desperate situations. i want to be used. i want to make an impact. if my life can make even the smallest difference in the life of one person then i have done my job. it is only through jesus.
