got to spend my last day at temeke hospital in the labor ward. it was--like every other day in the labor ward--pure insanity. two deliveries! first one was breech. rachel coached me through it. a bit nerve-wracking but an exciting accomplishment. no tearing! i named him david joseph. the third child to a 22 year old woman. one of the most beautiful babies i've seen.
the second delivery was a 36 yr old woman and it was her sixth baby. a girl! i named her leah. she spoke a bit of english and was a christian. i loved being able to pray with her throughout the delivery.
